How YOU will contribute

  • Ensure employee and plant safety, food safety, quality initiatives, HR, and process controls.
  • Complete RedZone Initiatives utilizing Kaizens, DLMPs, and lean processes.
  • Drive the sustainability of CAPA initiatives.
  • Champion process improvement and lean manufacturing activities by collaborating with supporting functions to implement and sustain change.
  • Drive metrics and review departmental performance, production, yield, efficiencies, labor utilization, and financial results.
  • Implement appropriate CAPEX plans to support new business, profitability, and asset maintenance.
  • Direct, coach, and develop a supervisory team to align their work with long-term goals and the company’s strategic direction.
  • Set goals for direct reports in training and development, performance, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with plant management and cross-functional teams to set direction, accountability, and achieve results.
  • Demonstrate cross-functional capability in supply chain, organizational excellence, finance, quality, and food safety.
  • Serve as acting production supervisor in their absence.
  • Promote and reinforce LOF Core Values and culture at all levels.

About YOU

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of operational/manufacturing experience; food industry preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, food science, meat science, or related field required.
  • Certifications: HACCP Certification, Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge: Experience in food manufacturing processes preferred; supervisory/managerial experience required.
  • Travel: Local and/or overnight travel required (25%).
