How You Will Contribute
- Lead local safety efforts to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state regulations, and workman’s compensation insurance.
- Oversee local sustainability initiatives to meet internal goals.
- Manage and file the OSHA 300 log annually.
- Report all plant metrics, training, OSHA incidents, minor incidents, close call reporting, investigations, TRIR, and sustainability efforts.
- Lead the safety committee in meetings and projects, collaborating with other departments.
- Provide leadership to foster a world-class safety culture at the plant site.
- Work with the plant management team to enhance hourly Culture IQ and employee engagement in health, safety, and sustainability.
- Develop goals for medical professionals in training, development, and performance.
- Develop and maintain an EHSS safety training program, including an annual schedule for all regulatory and plant-specific training. Ensure training is conducted as needed, including EHSS orientation for new hires or transferred employees.
- Implement safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives to continuously improve plant EHSS performance and compliance.
About You
- 2+ years in an EHSS department, preferably in a supervisory role; sustainability experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in EHSS or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365; ERP experience preferred.
- Experience with Redzone or similar production software preferred.
- Local and/or overnight travel required (approximately 15%).
- Ability to work onsite.
