How YOU will contribute
- Manage procurement and inventory of ingredients, packaging, labels, casings, and marketing materials.
- Oversee warehousing and inventory adjustments.
- Coordinate shipments and expedite materials as needed.
- Lead corrugated design and testing initiatives.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
- Handle product returns, retains, and dispositions.
- Ensure vendor compliance with approval policies.
- Maintain purchasing budgets for production and departmental needs.
- Track costs for pallets, office supplies, vehicle maintenance, and travel.
- Supervise and develop warehouse staff.
- Prepare annual workforce budgets.
About YOU
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of meat industry and/or procurement experience preferred, food manufacturing required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- ERP system experience required; IFS/Novacura Flow preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 5-10% local and overnight travel required.
